Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with the delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazarchuk. The meeting was attended by the heads of the ministry, representatives of various state institutions of the Republic of Belarus.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Majnun Mammadov said that our country attaches great importance to cooperation in the field of agriculture with Belarus. Recalling that one of the main topics of discussion during the mutual visits of the officials of the two countries was to expand cooperation in the agricultural field, the minister emphasized that continuous work is being done in this direction. Saying that Azerbaijan shows great interest in Belarus' experience of building agrarian towns and agro-industrial complexes, the minister said that there is great potential for increasing the volume of trade turnover of agricultural products.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Igor Nazarchuk, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, said that cooperation in the field of agriculture between the two countries is developing at an increasing pace. Recalling that his country was represented by a special pavilion at the 17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition - "Caspian Agro" held in Baku in May, and the Azerbaijani delegation participated in the "Belagro" exhibition, the deputy minister said that such platforms serve to further develop mutual relations. Igor Nazarchuk said that the desire to mutually benefit from the rich experience of both countries in various directions of the agricultural field allows to further expand cooperation in the field of agriculture between Azerbaijan and Belarus.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the current issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus.
