On May 6, Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Economic Affairs and Innovative Development Policy of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Khalid Ahadov, Assistant to the President for Socio-Economic Issues, visited the Caspian Agro 2026 and InterFood Azerbaijan exhibitions.
The presidential assistants were interested in the activities of local and foreign companies operating in the fields of agriculture and food industry, and got acquainted with their products and services.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Zaur Aliyev informed the guests that the Ministry of Agriculture is presenting a stand at this year's exhibition based on a broad and multidisciplinary concept. The Ministry's stand showcases state-implemented support mechanisms in the agricultural sector, innovative technologies and projects, digital solutions, modern cooling systems and equipment, sprayers and multispectral drones, agricultural products of farms that started operating in the liberated territories, livestock and crop products, beekeeping products, startup initiatives, and agrarian business festivals held in the regions.
A special place is also reserved for projects implemented in the direction of innovation and digital transformation in the agricultural sector at the Ministry's stand. Within the framework of the projects "Artificial Intelligence in the Agricultural Sector", "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture", students from various universities and agrarian startups presented their innovative solutions, technological products, and prototypes. The Ministry's stand also presented information on investment competitions for leasing agricultural lands to entrepreneurs in the liberated territories, a pilot project on land consolidation, as well as agrarian business festivals and product festivals held in the regions.
In the regional section of the exhibition, guests got acquainted with products produced in Masalli and Nakhchivan, various types of bread, packaged grain products exhibited by “Ivanovka Agropark” OJSC, pomegranates and pomegranate products exhibited by the Azerbaijan Pomegranate Producers and Exporters Association, as well as local products prepared by women entrepreneurs supported by the Association for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.
It was noted that in the presentations and information sessions organized based on the concept of “State support mechanisms in the agricultural sector”, farmers and entrepreneurs were provided with detailed information about the existing support mechanisms in the agricultural sector, such as subsidies, loans, insurance, employment, water supply, food security and business development.
The exhibition also presents artificial intelligence, smart villages, startups, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles and “green agro” sections under the “Smart Agro” direction.
It should be noted that the Caspian Agro 2026 and InterFood Azerbaijan exhibitions will conclude their work on May 8.
