Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev within the framework of the IV Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic States.
At the meeting, Minister Majnun Mammadov provided detailed information on the work carried out in our country under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, towards the development of the agrarian sector. The Minister stated that Azerbaijan attaches importance to increasing trade turnover with the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as expanding cooperation in various fields of agriculture, especially animal husbandry, fisheries and other areas.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Torobaev, in turn, expressed his country's interest in learning from Azerbaijan's successful experience in digitalizing the agrarian sector, introducing agrarian insurance, and processing agricultural products. He stressed that the two countries are interested in cooperation in the field of agricultural education and participation in student-teacher exchange programs.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on ensuring the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, the importance of exchanging experience in these areas, and it was emphasized that there is great potential for expanding mutual relations in the agricultural sector. Discussing the current state of cooperation with the member countries of the organization in the agricultural sector and the prospects for future cooperation, the parties noted that expanding cooperation with the member states of the organization in the agricultural sector is of great importance.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
