Oklahoma State University (OSU) and Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) have signed a strategic partnership agreement in the field of education. The agreement includes provisions for expanding cooperation in the field of education and research between ASAU and OSU, which is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the United States. The signed document is in line with the nature of fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the state of Oklahoma that has been developing for many years.
Under the agreement, both higher education institutions have undertaken commitments to cooperate on an equal and mutually beneficial basis. Such activities involve the exchange of professionals and scholars between the universities, and expansion of cooperation in the areas of instruction and research. ADAU and OSU identify each other as a strategic partner in cooperation in this sphere.
Under the agreement, graduate students, faculty and academic staff sponsored and recommended by ADAU shall be eligible for strategic partner rights and privileges, including the ability to enroll as a graduate student at OSU if they meet graduate admission requirements, and to qualify for the privileges afforded to resident students.
The issue of dual diplomas in the specialties to be determined by both universities in the future is on the agenda, and negotiations are underway.
