Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova met with Sergiu Gerciu, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova, who is visiting Azerbaijan within the framework of the 19th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition ("Caspian Agro") and the 31st Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition ("InterFood Azerbaijan").
The Deputy Minister provided them with detailed information about the Caspian Agro exhibition, as well as the current state of the agrarian sector in Azerbaijan, and mechanisms for state support for agriculture. He noted that agriculture is one of the most promising areas for cooperation between the two countries. The Deputy Minister noted that Moldova has a rich history and successful experience in the field of viticulture and winemaking, and we are interested in transferring advanced technologies and know-how in this area.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova Sergiu Gerciu emphasized that his country is a friendly country with Azerbaijan and is interested in developing partnership in all areas. He noted the great potential for expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The parties expressed their mutual interest in deepening agrarian cooperation.
During the meeting, a broad exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
