The Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the activity of agrarian towns and agro-industrial complexes in Belarus

A bilateral meeting was held between the delegation led by Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is on a visit to Belarus, and Sergey Bartosh, Minister of Agriculture and Food of this country. The Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economy, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, the officials of the special representations of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand, as well as Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan regions were represented in the Azerbaijani delegation.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the tasks set by the heads of state regarding cooperation in the agrarian field, and the agreements reached in the agrarian field between the two countries.

The parties discussed the issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus in the field of agriculture, establishment and management of agrarian towns, creation of agro-industrial complexes, cooperation in the field of animal husbandry, increasing the trade turnover of agricultural and food products, transfer of the most modern technologies in the field of agriculture, implementation of experience programs in scientific research and education field in the agricultural sector.

After the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Parokhonsk agrarian town of Pinsk district of Brest region and were interested in the experience of Belarus in the construction and management of agrarian towns. The participants of the trip inspected the material and technical base of the agrarian town, the animal husbandry enterprise.

Also, within the framework of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the 34th International Specialized Exhibition "Belagro-2024" held in Minsk. The members of the Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the agricultural products and equipment presented at the exhibition in which 490 companies participated, including unmanned agricultural systems, and were interested in the innovations displayed at the stands on innovations in the field of animal husbandry and agriculture.

Later, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the "Great Stone" China-Belarus Industrial Park and got acquainted with information about the activities of the residents of the industrial park.

The Azerbaijani delegation also visited a town of wooden houses in Belarus. At the end, they exchanged views on the development of urban and rural areas and discussed issues of mutual interest.
