A meeting on the establishment of the Digital Agro Data Platform of the Organization of Turkic States is being held in Guba

In Guba, which has been declared the agricultural capital of the Organization of Turkic States (TSO), a meeting on the creation of the Digital Agro Data Platform of TSO member and observer states is being held under the organization of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Authorized representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and experts of relevant institutions are participating in the event.

Before the event, the meeting participants visited the museum section of the Heydar Aliyev Center, where the memory of the National Leader is immortalized, and got acquainted with the expositions reflecting the honorable life path and political activities of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Azad Jafarli, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who opened the meeting with an introductory speech, said that the Turkish states today have great influence and economic power in the world. He noted that the rapid development of economic relations between the Turkish states and increases in the trade turnover of agricultural and food products have been observed in recent years. Noting that it is important to further expand the relations between the TDT countries, Azad Jafarli emphasized that the creation of the organization's Digital Agro Data Platform is aimed at strengthening the exchange of information and trade relations in the field of agriculture and food products.

The head of the office added that the main goal of creating the Digital Agro Data Platform consists of creating a single trade network between member and observer states, conduct data-based analysis, assess the export and import potential of agricultural and their processing products, promote export and import, collect statistics, coordinating the activities of agro statistics centers and organizing the joint activities of specialists of the centers operating on a permanent basis in this field, carrying out the exchange, drawing up reports, measuring the existing potential in the agrarian field and managing and implementing other related activities from one center.

At the meeting, representatives of the relevant institutions of TDT member and observer states and representatives of the private sector made presentations and discussed the directions of creation of the TDT Digital Agro Data Platform. In addition, they gave detailed information to the event participants about the economic and agricultural potential of the TDT countries, investment opportunities and existing transport infrastructure projects.
