A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of agriculture was signed between Brazil and Azerbaijan

Within the framework of his visit to Brazil, Minister Majnun Mammadov held bilateral meetings

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov held bilateral meetings within the framework of the Meeting of Agriculture Ministers of the "Big Twenty" (G20) countries in Cuiaba, Brazil. Minister Majnun Mammadov first met with Brazil's Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Favaro.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation and creation of a legal-contract base between Azerbaijan and Brazil in the agricultural field, increasing the trade turnover of agricultural products, transfer of the most modern technologies in the agricultural field, strengthening of cooperation in the fields of animal husbandry, implementation of experimental programs in the field of scientific research in the agricultural sector were discussed.

During the bilateral meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of agriculture was signed between Azerbaijan and Brazil. The document was signed by the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov, and the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil, Carlos Favaro.

The directions of future cooperation in the agricultural field are reflected in the Memorandum of Understanding. According to the document, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of exchange of scientific and technological innovations in the field of agriculture, organization of training and seminars in the field of agriculture, agrarian research, development of agricultural infrastructure, organization of trade missions, promotion of involvement of the private sector in business activities.

It should be noted that within the framework of the visit to Brazil, Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the leaders of the delegations of the countries participating in the event and representatives of international organizations. In the meetings, the importance of creating a joint Working Group in the field of agriculture between our countries was touched upon, and confidence was expressed that the work of the Working Group will contribute to cooperation in the agricultural field.

During the meetings, it was emphasized that there is great potential for the expansion of mutual relations in the field of agriculture. The parties emphasized that they are interested in expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture and the importance of holding meetings in this format.
