Today representatives of the diplomatic corps and embassies accredited in Azerbaijan visited the Honey Fair organized within the framework of "From Village to City" project. The delegation included representatives of France, Czech Republic, Tajikistan, Japan, Switzerland, Georgia, Netherlands, Bulgaria, China, India, Italy, Brazil, Russia, Belarus, Austria and Saudi Arabia, as well as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Azerbaijan and the International Finance Corporation.
The main purpose of the guests' visit to the Honey Fair was to introduce them local beekeeping products and to demonstrate the potential of our country in this area. Thus, the representatives of the diplomatic corps interacted with beekeepers from different regions of the country and tasted honey and bee products. They were also informed about the history of beekeeping in the country, development trends and projects in this field.
Note that, 20th Exhibition and Sale Fair of Beekeeping Products is held by Agro Procurement and Supply OJSC, under the Ministry of Agriculture jointly with Azerbaijan Beekeepers Association. The fair that is held at the 10th Fatali Khan Khoyski Avenue in Narimanov district (Tofig Bahramov Stadium) will continue until October 18. A total of 321 beekeepers from 37 regions attend the fair.
